2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N on the street

In recent years, Hyundai has captured global attention with mind-blowing concepts like Hyundai N74. However, while the N74 remains in the concept phase, Hyundai has taken an unexpected leap by introducing a dynamic, performance-focused variant of their ever-popular IONIQ 5 electric SUV. Dubbed the IONIQ 5 N – with ‘N’ symbolizing both the Nürburgring Test Track and Namyang R&D Center – this model marks the brand’s foray into performance-oriented electric SUVs. Many fans around the world have wondered when the 641 horsepower IONIQ 5 N would be released and how much it would cost. Thankfully Hyundai has finally given us an answer!

2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N: Key Features and Specifications

  • Pricing and Availability
Hyundai has confirmed that the 2025 IONIQ 5 N will start at approximately $65,000. These models will be sold in extremely limited quantities, and only offered in select states and dealerships.
  • Performance and Power
The IONIQ 5 N comes equipped with two electric motors that collectively produce up to 601 horsepower, which can be boosted to an exhilarating 641 horsepower with the N Grin Boost feature. This electrifying power allows for a rapid 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds.
  • Design and Aesthetic
The IONIQ 5 N exhibits a bold, dominating design, being both longer and wider than the standard IONIQ 5. Featuring 21-inch forged aluminum wheels and Pirelli P-Zero tires, new track-oriented upgrades add to its sporty aesthetic.
  • Advanced Technologies
The IONIQ 5 N integrates features like simulated gear shifts with ICE car-like lag and exhaust sound through speakers to enhance the driving experience. This includes Hyundai’s N Brake Regen and hydraulic brakes that allow for left-foot braking, and N Active Sound+, which simulates the noise of a gas-powered vehicle.
  • Battery and Range
The IONIQ 5 N introduces a fourth-generation battery with increased energy density, contributing to its efficiency and range capabilities. Official range numbers aren’t out, but many expect 195 miles per charge.
