Hyundai Ioniq 5 New e-Corner Tech

Hyundai Mobis is paving the way for a revolutionary driving experience with its innovative e-Corner technology for the Ioniq 5. This game-changing tech allows vehicles to turn up to 90 degrees in all four-wheel assemblies, creating an entirely new comfort and maneuverability level without sacrificing any precious space! This new feature is called e-Corner which bundles brake-by-wire, steer-by-wire, an electric motor, and an electric damper in all four wheel assemblies. It appears that this feature can be installed in several vehicle types without compromising space, so Hyundai could enable it in everything from small electric sedans to flagship electric SUVs.

We can only speculate as to when Hyundai will turn e-Corner into a reality, but so far it is looking like 2025 could be the year that it becomes available in production vehicles. The Ioniq 5 has already been outfitted with an e-Skateboard EV prototype and potential customers from other automakers may get access soon too if orders begin flowing in for mass production.
