The Best Selling Hyundai Vehicles In 2025 (Q3)
Hyundai Motor America reported total sales of 71,003 units for September, representing a 14% increase compared to September 2024. Sales were so good that September 2025 became a new record! Hyundai set September total sales records for the Elantra family, Santa Fe HEV, and IONIQ 5. EV sales also experienced a massive surge, thanks to the elimination of EV tax credits, increasing 153% compared to September 2024.
Hyundai Q3 Sales Highlights
Hyundai vehicle sales made a 7% increase to 57,435 units in September, compared to the same month last year in 2024. This increase was made across the field in both electrified and gasoline car models. Electrified vehicles accounted for 38% of the retail sales mix, with IONIQ 5 being responsible for the biggest increase in sales, climbing 151% year-over-year. The momentum carried over across most of the Hyundai lineup, with the Santa Fe and Elantra HEV models climbing 45% and 89% respectively.
During Q3 2025, Hyundai established a new record in total sales with 239,069 units, a 13% increase over Q3 2024 total sales and the best Q3 in the company’s history. Hyundai is proud to report a very strong performance in this quarter, with sales rising 11% year-over-year to 209,520 units. Dealerships also set new Q3 total and retail sales records for Elantra N, Palisade, IONIQ 5, and all Santa Fe configurations.
